Monster Jam Party Ideas
If huge trucks and Monster Jam are your little birthday boy (or girl’s) favorite things, then there are more than a few Monster Jam-themed birthday party supplies available to set just the right tone, from the invitations to the goodie bags. But once the house is all decorated and ready for guests, how are you going to entertain them? Here a few ideas that should help your Monster Jam party roar:
Red Light/Green Light – Appoint one child the ‘race official’. Arm him with a checkered flag and have all the other guests stand behind him, some distance away (how far really depends on how much space you have!). The game begins when the “official” waves his flag, shouting “Green light!” This is the cue for the children to start walking towards him as fast as they can, without running. After a count of five the “official” should raise his flag again and shout “Red light!”, at which point everyone else must stop in his tracks! Those caught still moving have to go back to the starting line, and the game repeats itself until one child – the winner- gets close enough to tag the “official”.
Make a Monster Truck – Cut some basic monster truck shapes out of sturdy plain cardboard. Arm each party guest with crayons or markers and let her create her very own Monster Truck. Once everyone is finished let each child display his or her creation to the others.
Have a Monster Jam Living Room Show – If your child doesn’t have any replica Monster Trucks of her own (which many will), any truck can be fun, and you can usually find them right at your local dollar store. Create a track in your living room using simple craft supplies and then sit back and watch the kids have fun creating their very own Monster jam show.
