LegoVille Party Ideas
Even in a world filled with electronic gadgets and endless video games, Lego remains a favorite toy of almost every girl and boy. A Legoville themed party can be an awful lot of fun for everyone, even the adults! To make your Legoville party a success though, you really do need to plan to do a little more than simply sit and build models all afternoon. Here a just a few fun ideas:
Speed Lego – Design a very simple project that can be built with basic Lego bricks (you can find a lot of ideas on the Lego website). Print out the instructions for each child and then arm them all with the bricks they need to complete the model, with a few extra thrown in as a “decoy.” The first child to complete the model correctly is the winner (no adult help allowed, however tempting that might be!).
Legoville Treasure Hunt – You can use the same model “plans” to create a fun Lego treasure hunt for your party guests. Hide the blocks the children need to complete their models all over the house, and then give each guest a series of clues to help him track them down. The winner of course is the child who finds all the blocks and completes her model first.
Lego Brick Drop – Set up a jar with a fairly narrow opening. Give each child three Lego bricks and have her stand above the jar, with it set between her feet. Now the she must try to drop each of her Lego pieces into the jar. The child with the most “hits” wins. |
